Installation

How Airtabs are installed and why our tool makes it easier.

Installation is straightforward and designed to be practical for DIY users and shop teams alike. The goal is to place the tabs securely at the vehicle edge, where airflow separation happens, so they can do their job without interfering with the vehicle’s finish or structure.

1. Determine how many Airtabs you need

Measure the length of the vehicle edge (in linear feet) where you plan to install the tabs. We recommend 3 Airtabs per linear foot of vehicle edge for optimal coverage and performance. For example, a 20 ft section requires approximately 60 Airtabs.

This guideline ensures even spacing and maximum aerodynamic benefit along the entire edge.

2. Prepare the vehicle edge

Clean the mounting area well so the tabs sit flat and secure. A clean contact surface helps the tab stay properly aligned and reduces chances of shifting over time.

3. Position the tab at the leading edge

Install the tabs where airflow leaves the vehicle edge. This is the key area that controls the wake behind the cab, which is where the Aerodynamic Fuel Saver effect happens.

4. Use the right tool for easy setup

We provide a simple installation tool to make the process easier, faster, and more consistent. It helps with clean placement and saves time for both first-time buyers and professional installers.

Why our installation tool helps

The tool reduces guesswork, speeds up placement, and makes ordering and setup more user-friendly. It is designed to support a simple installation experience from the first tab to the last.
